We are currently working with a well-established shipowner to recruit a Senior Technical Superintendent to join their team in Nicosia, Cyprus. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior maritime professional to lead the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a modern fleet, while managing both shore-based and sea-going teams.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the technical performance and daily operations of assigned vessels
Lead scheduled maintenance, dry dockings, refits, and repairs
Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company standards
Monitor vessel budgets and contribute to annual budget planning
Liaise with procurement to ensure cost-effective supply of parts and services
Provide leadership and support to onboard and onshore teams
Drive continuous improvement and safety culture across operations

Requirements:

Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (MEO Class 1) or equivalent
Minimum 3 years' experience as Chief or Second Engineer (including at least 6 months as Chief Engineer)
Experience with dry, oil, chemical or gas vessels preferred
Previous people management experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of dry dockings, repairs, and vessel mobilizations
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Familiarity with classification society procedures and ISM compliance
Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively
