What you'll be doing: You’ll play a key role in supporting vessel operations, performance, and compliance – acting as a critical link between ship and shore. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring daily weather updates for fleet vessels
- Overseeing P&I and H&M insurance matters
- Managing vessel registration and tonnage tax processes
- Investigating crew incidents and illnesses
- Handling post-fixture operations and supporting charterers, ship managers, and vessel teams
- Managing cargo claims and marine incident investigations
- Overseeing crew change planning and approvals
- Tracking and closing out PSC inspections, ensuring Q88 updates, CII ratings, and Rightship scores
- Supporting compliance with evolving regulations including EU-ETS
- Monitoring vessel performance under charter party terms
- You must have sailed as Master on foreign-going vessels (minimum 1 year)
- Holding a valid Master (F.G.) CoC or equivalent maritime qualifications
- Familiar with IMO regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC)
- Working knowledge of bulk carrier operations
- Proficient in IMOS
- Strong communicator, team player, and capable of mentoring junior staff
- Established and stable ship owner/operator
