Faststream is partnered with a leading maritime satellite and navigation communications solutions provider, seeking an experienced Sales Manager in the UK. Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional to generate new business within the UK Government, Defence, and other specified markets.
Responsibilities
- Account management and promotion of a comprehensive product portfolio within the Government & Defence sectors.
- Adopting a consultative approach with clients to secure future programmes and ensure the longevity of the product and solutions portfolio.
- Collaborating with internal teams to gather and relay client feedback to senior management, supporting continuous product and service enhancements.
- Providing sales support and ensuring timely follow-up on sales and service requests to maximise customer satisfaction and retention.
- Managing the full sales process, from handling new enquiries to issuing contracts and purchase orders in line with delivery requirements.
- Producing sales budgets, forecasts, and reports as required.
- Participating in market initiatives, exhibitions, and seminars to enhance brand awareness and generate new leads.
- Highly motivated and commercially aware individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in defence, navy, and/or government-related sectors.
- Results-driven, professional, and regarded as an industry expert.
- Experience in satellite communications and/or related information services is beneficial but not essential if you can quickly learn and adapt.
- Strong customer focus and commercial awareness.
- Excellent customer relationship skills, including telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain SC security clearance within the UK.
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
