Job Description

Recruitment Consultant – Nordic Region (UK Office Based)

Are you an established business professional ready for an exciting new career opportunity?

Do you want to develop and grow your own business area, travel internationally, and drive your earnings and rewards every day?

The Opportunity

The Faststream Recruitment Group, established in 1999 with over 100 employees, is the Global People Specialist in Shipping, Maritime, and Energy Recruitment. With office hubs in Southampton, UK, and Singapore, we deliver professional recruitment services and solutions to our clients and candidates in key maritime hubs across EMEA, Asia Pacific, and The Americas.

Due to significant market growth and continued success, this newly created role offers a unique opportunity to develop and build our Nordic 'Ship Management' recruitment business. You'll partner with ship owners, ship managers, broking houses, and commercial management companies, recruiting for specialist roles including Superintendents, Fleet Managers, Heads of Chartering & Broking, and Business Analysts.

You will be providing high-end, permanent recruitment services and solutions across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, using our established brand and success to leverage new client and candidate relationships in this developing region. As a Recruitment Consultant, based in our Southampton office, you will report directly to our Associate Director of Shipping Management and work alongside some of the most established and successful maritime recruiters in the industry.

Who are we looking for?

This role requires a Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian-speaking business professional with a successful track record in sales or business development. This experience should include identifying new business opportunities, developing senior-level relationships, and providing high-value customer services and solutions. You will need to be able to travel to Scandinavia 4-5 times a year for client meetings and events and ideally have international business exposure. Recruitment and maritime experience are not essential, provided you've got the experience above, plus the drive and motivation to learn a new sector. We can teach you the rest.

Salary, Benefits & Rewards

This unique opportunity is backed by a globally leading brand, best-in-class training, a winning team culture, a collaborative leadership team, and a modern waterfront office location. The package includes:

  • Uncapped commission with zero sales thresholds.

  • Generous holiday starting at 23 days, plus additional 'length of service' days and the ability to sell/buy additional leave.
