Company: Silverstream Technologies was founded in 2010 with the aim of optimising fuel efficiency in the Maritime sector using air lubrication technology. The Silverstream® System is a proven energy saving technology, delivering 5-10% net fuel and emissions savings and can be used on both retrofit and newbuild vessels. Air lubrication is a strategically important technology which addresses the immediate decarbonisation requirements and the operational efficiency challenges emanating from future energy transitions.

Reporting To: Programme Manager
Location: Southampton

As Project Manager you will be the main Customer interface with Owners, Charterers, Yards, Installation Contractors and Class Societies managing the newbuild and retrofit integration of the ALS technology onto ships around the world. 

Experience / Qualifications Required:

  • Higher Degree in Engineering or a relevant subject required.

  • Project Management Qualification desired.

  • Skilled in managing projects end-to-end through the complete project lifecycle. Shipbuilding, Marine, Oil and Gas project experience preferrable.

  • Skilled in leadership, including an ability to develop and present technical and commercial arguments effectively, influencing internal and external stakeholders accordingly.

  • Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Skilled in leading integration projects with multi-disciplinary aspects such as structural, mechanical, electrical and automation engineering.

  • Knowledge of working with Classification Societies (DNV, ABS, LR, etc.) and their rules is preferrable.

  • Skilled in using project management software.

  • Knowledge of basic Intellectual Property protection is preferred.

  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication. skills, and ability to operate at all levels of the organisation.
