This role offers the flexibility of some remote working on Mondays and Fridays, alongside an exciting opportunity to join a company actively diversifying its operations and expanding its fleet into the renewables market.
As Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the technical management of assigned vessels, ensuring they remain in Class at all times and operate within budget. Reporting to the Technical Manager and Technical Director, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery and navigational electronics, while also arranging and supervising vessel repairs and maintenance, including dry dock periods, among other duties.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Seagoing experience as a Chief, 2nd, or 3rd Engineer
- A minimum of an OOW Unlimited Engineering Certificate of Competency (2nd or Chief Engineer preferred) OR equivalent electrical qualifications
- Proven experience in the offshore sector
- Shore-based experience in a similar role is desirable
- Strong ability to work independently, collaboratively within a team, and effectively under pressure
- Existing right to live and work in the UK
- Must be based in Aberdeen or willing to relocate when necessary
