Faststream Recruitment has exclusively partnered with a Marine service provider to identify, attract and engage an experienced Technical Manager to their team in China, Shanghai.
The role involves providing technical and operational support to the Operations Manager for daily operations. This includes active participation in continuous technical improvement within the Operations Department, supporting group and company initiatives, and achieving technical objectives through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring.
Building strong client relationships to identify market needs and facilitate new business is a key responsibility. The role also involves evaluating and developing personnel, skills, and methods for overall continuous improvement. Additionally, responsibilities include developing and assessing the skills of frontline employees, conducting regular technical training, collecting and issuing technical instruction documents, and supporting the development of new technology. Other duties involve preparing necessary ISO work instructions, risk assessments, and checklists, as well as communicating and cooperating with other business units.
The Technical Manager is required to have degree qualifications in Marine/Mechanical Engineering, strong knowledge of 2 & 4 stroke Reconditioning Diesel Engine, machining experience, proficiency in reading production drawings, fabrication experience, and competence in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or equivalent software.
