An exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the market leader in clean marine technology, Silverstream Technologies.

Company: Silverstream Technologies was founded in 2010 with the aim of optimising fuel efficiency in the Maritime sector using air lubrication technology. The Silverstream® System is a proven energy saving technology, delivering 5-10% net fuel and emissions savings and can be used on both retrofit and newbuild vessels. Air lubrication is a strategically important technology which addresses the immediate decarbonisation requirements and the operational efficiency challenges emanating from future energy transitions.

Location: London HQ, Marylebone.

Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain

The role will be primarily responsible for ensuring that supplied product quality meets contractual and customer requirements, by ensuring effective quality oversight, problem resolution and continuous improvement programs with our suppliers.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the Marine industry.

  • Knowledge of dealing with Classification Societies.

  • Knowledge of shipyards and hull structures, with knowledge of yards inside of China desirable.

  • Knowledge of supply chain management.

  • Experience of marine mechanical equipment, experience of electrical automation is desirable.

  • Knowledge in application of basic Quality Improvement tools.

  • Understanding of Inspection and Quality Control processes.
