The Role
As a Project Engineer You will oversee all technical activities on assigned projects, including preparing proposals, developing project schedules, and coordinating agreed-upon engineering tasks. Ensure all work aligns with relevant codes, engineering best practices, and adheres fully to client company's standards and values. Maintain responsibility for ensuring that all assigned team members are coordinating their efforts effectively with other project participants and that all contract requirements are met.

The Responsibilities
  • Establish project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans and consulting with management.
  • Define project responsibilities by identifying phases and tasks, assigning personnel, and reviewing contractor bids.
  • Set project specifications by analysing product designs, client requirements, and performance standards, conducting technical assessments, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Maintain project timelines by tracking progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Verify and review all project deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Prepare project status reports to keep stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Manage and track project purchase orders and invoices.
The Requirements
  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or equivalent/relevant degree
  • Able to gain UK Security Clearance
  • Experience using CAD/Autodesk Inventor
  • Would consider someone with HND and experience within a similar role
  • Project experience would be desired but not essential
