You will come with an established network of clients who regularly rely on your expertise and services – for a consistent flow of business. You will be responsible for executing back-to-back transactions to ensure prompt and efficient fuel deliveries to clients. You will also need to monitor market trends, assess price fluctuations, and stay informed on regulatory changes to refine trading strategies and reduce risk. Additionally, negotiating favorable contract terms with counterparties and collaborating with internal departments such as operations, logistics, and finance — is essential for optimizing processes and enhancing profitability. As a Bunker Trader, flexibility is key due to the nature of the role. The global shipping industry operates across time zones, and transactions sometimes occur outside standard working hours to meet the demands of clients, suppliers, and market dynamics. A willingness to adapt to irregular hours is an advantage, as it ensures responsiveness to opportunities and challenges in this fast-paced environment.
  
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in back-to-back / supply bunker trading, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the marine fuel market, including knowledge of fuel specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make informed trading decisions.
  • Fluency in English as well as Chinese (Mandarin) or Hindi due to business needs. 
  • Based in Singapore / China.
