Job Description

Faststream is delighted to partner with a leading maritime company in Dubai, renowned for blending innovation with tradition to deliver top-tier maritime solutions. We're on the lookout for a dedicated Procurement Manager / Technical Purchaser who is ready to bring their expertise to a company that values quality and efficiency as much as you do.

Your Role:

As the Procurement Manager / Technical Purchaser, you'll play a crucial role in shaping and executing purchasing strategies that meet our client's high standards. You'll be identifying and working with reliable vendors both locally in Dubai and internationally, ensuring that every procurement process is smooth and cost-effective.
Your expertise with ERP software will be essential. Our client relies on these systems to maintain data accuracy and streamline procurement activities, so familiarity and proficiency are non-negotiable. This role isn't for someone who relies solely on Excel spreadsheets for accountancy; we're looking for a true professional who understands the intricacies of sophisticated procurement systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of negotiating contracts and pricing, ensuring that the terms are favourable and the procurement process is efficient. You'll work closely with various internal departments, like engineering and project management, to understand the technical requirements and ensure everything aligns perfectly with project needs.
Forecasting demand, managing budgets, and keeping a keen eye on compliance with legal and regulatory standards will be part of your day-to-day activities. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will be vital as you prepare and maintain precise records and reports.

What We're Looking For:

Ideally, you have experience in procurement within the maritime industry. Your knowledge of vendors and suppliers in Dubai should be extensive, and your negotiation skills, impeccable.
Being proficient in ERP software is essential, as is the ability to forecast and manage budgets accurately. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will help you build and maintain robust vendor relationships and work seamlessly with your team.
If you have a certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, that's a plus, and experience with maritime-specific procurement needs and regulations will set you apart from other candidates.

What’s in It for You:

This opportunity comes with a competitive salary and benefits package that includes the top tier of health insurance for you and your family, plus the chance for professional growth and development.

You’ll be working in a collaborative and supportive environment, contributing to a leading company in the maritime industry.
