We are seeking a passionate and experienced Offshore Safety Training Instructor to join a dynamic team. As an Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-tier training programs that prepare individuals for the unique challenges of the offshore sector. Your expertise will help students develop the competencies necessary to excel in their roles and ensure their safety at sea.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and informative offshore safety training courses to a diverse group of students.
- Provide hands-on instruction and practical demonstrations in accordance with industry best practices and OPITO standards.
- Assess student performance through practical exercises and theoretical assessments.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation and knowledge retention.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and regulatory changes to continuously improve training programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance course content and delivery methods.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and certification.
- OPITO-approved Instructor qualification or equivalent certification.
- Extensive experience in the offshore petroleum industry, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
- Proven experience as a safety training instructor, with a track record of delivering effective and engaging training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of various backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a culture of safety within the industry.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing training requirements and schedules.
