About Our client: They are a leading provider of marine fuel and bunkering solutions, delivering reliable and high-quality services to clients worldwide. With a strong presence in the Middle East, they are expanding operations in Dubai due to winning lots of new business, and are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage all bunkering operations in Dubai, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant fueling services.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operational staff, including supervisors, engineers, and on-site personnel.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to local and international maritime regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
- Client Relations: Work closely with clients, vessel operators, and port authorities to coordinate fueling schedules and address any operational concerns.
- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with fuel suppliers, ensuring quality, availability, and timely delivery of marine fuels.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs, optimizing efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all bunkering operations, including fuel inventories, transactions, and safety checks.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential issues in operations and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices, operational efficiencies, and innovative technologies to streamline processes.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in bunkering operations, marine fuel, or a related field, with managerial experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in marine fuel or safety are a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of bunkering procedures, fuel quality management, and maritime regulations (MARPOL, IMO, etc.).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly resolve operational issues and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Technology: Proficiency in operational software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
