Key Responsibilities
- Guide a team of Structural Engineers and Naval Architects, providing them with the necessary technical support and direction.
- Conduct regular reviews of maintenance and repair work scopes, ensuring they are executed effectively.
- Handle the submission and approval of capital investment applications, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Continuously improve engineering standards documentation to enhance both technical and commercial effectiveness.
- Provide critical inputs for new build vessel programs and ensure these projects meet company standards.
- Generate detailed analysis reports and offer feedback to senior management.
- Foster the growth and development of team members through training, mentoring, and performance reviews.
- A degree in Naval Architecture or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience may be considered.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
- Significant experience in operational and asset management within the marine industry.
- Strong knowledge of engineering legislation and practices.
- Proficiency in interpreting and validating drawings and managing key documentation.
- Familiarity with ship classification society rules and international marine legislation
- Experience in the design and operation of offshore construction vessels
