Through technical support, compliance verification, and research & development, IACS ensures that more than 90% of the world’s cargo-carrying tonnage meets the highest classification standards.
The Role
We’re looking for a Marine Engineer, Naval Architect or Shipping Graduate to join our busy London office as an International Liaison Officer.
In this role, you will:
* Support IMO engagement – Prepare reports, liaise with Member States, and track IACS contributions.
* Ensure technical accuracy – Work with IACS working groups to refine technical papers and positions.
* Represent IACS externally – Maintain relationships with the IMO, ILO, EU, and key maritime stakeholders.
* Monitor regulatory developments – Track and update classification rules in line with international maritime regulations.
* Attend IMO meetings – Represent IACS when required and contribute to the future of maritime safety.
About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
* Have a background in marine engineering, naval architecture or shipping graduate
* Understand maritime regulations and classification.
* Have strong technical writing and communication skills.
* Are comfortable engaging with international organisations.
* Have an eye for detail and can track regulatory changes effectively.
