Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry department, including production, presentation, and service of all desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
- Develop and implement new dessert menus, showcasing creativity and originality while maintaining consistency and excellence.
- Train, mentor, and manage the pastry team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for the pastry department.
- Collaborate with other culinary departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Participate in special events and themed dinners, creating unique and memorable dessert experiences.
- Stay updated with industry trends and continuously seek to innovate and improve the pastry offerings.
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end hotel, resort, or cruise liner.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification in pastry arts.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional creativity and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of international dessert trends and techniques.
- Valid STCW and C1/D Visa or ability to obtain
