Key Responsibilities:
- Trading and Negotiation:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, shipowners, operators, and other stakeholders in the marine fuel market.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure profitable trades while meeting customer requirements.
- Market Analysis:
- Analyze market trends, supply-demand dynamics, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes affecting the marine fuel industry.
- Provide timely and insightful market intelligence to optimize trading decisions and strategies.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess trading risks, develop strategies to mitigate exposure and ensure compliance with risk management policies.
- Operational Coordination:
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of marine fuels to customers.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to optimize stock and meet customer demands.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Foster strong relationships with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations, ensuring superior service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferable.
- Large preference given to experienced candidates in physical supply bunker trading within the maritime industry, with a proven track record of successful trades and client management.
- Deep understanding of the marine fuel market, including marine fuel specifications, trading mechanisms, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic trading environment.
