Position: Assistant Line Operations
Role Overview:
Assist the Operations Team with key tasks such as stowage planning, special cargo approvals (Flexitanks, OOG, Breakbulk, etc.), monitoring vessel consumptions, cost control, and bunker-related activities. Ensure safe and cost-efficient vessel operations while coordinating with vessel command, line management, and terminals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize vessel stowage with minimal shutouts/restows while maintaining safety standards.
- Monitor vessel consumption parameters to ensure efficiency and cost control.
- Review special cargo requests and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Oversee tugboat usage and approve port/terminal costs.
- Support business transformation initiatives related to EDI integration and process improvements.
- Diploma in Maritime Studies or relevant university degree.
- Minimum 1 year of shipping operations experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong English communication skills (written & spoken).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work independently under pressure.
