Position: Remote Bunker Trader/Broker
Location: Remote (based in any European country - Must have the right to live & work in Europe or the UK).
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities:
  1. Market Analysis and Strategy:
    • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the bunker fuel market within Europe.
    • Develop and implement effective trading strategies to optimize profits and minimize risks in the market.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Negotiate bunker fuel contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for the company and its clients.
  3. Trade Execution:
    • Execute trades for bunker fuel, considering market conditions, customer requirements, and company objectives.
    • Monitor and manage trade positions, ensuring timely and accurate execution of contracts.
  4. Risk Management:
    • Assess and mitigate risks associated with bunker fuel trading, including price fluctuations, credit risks, and market volatility.
    • Collaborate with risk management teams to develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
  5. Documentation and Compliance:
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all trades and contracts, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure smooth trade execution and customer satisfaction.
    • Provide regular updates and reports on market trends, trading activities, and performance to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in bunker fuel trading or brokering, specifically within the European market.
    • Proven track record of successful bunker fuel trading and customer relationship management.
    • Existing customer/client portfolio, enabling you to "hit the ground running".
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong understanding of the bunker fuel market, including pricing dynamics, regulations, and industry players.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in data analysis and trading software/tools.
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
