A leading maritime offshore vessel operator is seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Technical Manager to join their Technical Department in Aberdeen. This role involves managing Vessel Superintendents and vessels, ensuring compliance with Class and Flag and supporting the day-to-day functioning of the Technical Department.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Shore based managerial ship management experience in a similar role and/or a Class Surveyor background
  • Chief Engineer unlimited ticket and significant offshore sailing experience prior to coming ashore
  • Senior management experience desirable
  • Strong client relationships and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hydraulic/Mechanical Engineer with relevant onshore/offshore support experience
The successful candidate will be able to work from home on a Monday and Friday, and is required to be office based Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. The company offers excellent training and development support as well as long term career progression opportunities.
