Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections to ensure vessel safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on board.
  • Monitor vessel performance and implement measures to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all documentation and certifications are up-to-date and in compliance with international maritime standards.
  • Liaise with port authorities, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth vessel operations.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost control measures for vessel operations.
  • Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for crew members.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on vessel performance and incidents.
Requirements:
  • Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Vessel Manager or in a similar shoreside role within the maritime industry.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
