Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
- Coordinate and manage maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections to ensure vessel safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on board.
- Monitor vessel performance and implement measures to optimise operational efficiency.
- Ensure all documentation and certifications are up-to-date and in compliance with international maritime standards.
- Liaise with port authorities, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth vessel operations.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control measures for vessel operations.
- Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for crew members.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on vessel performance and incidents.
- Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC).
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Vessel Manager or in a similar shoreside role within the maritime industry.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
