Role - Technical Vessel Manager
Location - Hamburg

Candidates must have experience in shore-based technical engineering role, such as Superintendent / Engineer with preference of working with Passenger vessels.

The Vessel Manager/ Superintendent is responsible for the overall management and operations of assigned cruise ships within the cruise shipping management company. They are the key point of contact for all vessel related matters and ensure the seamless coordination between technical, operational, and commercial aspects. The Vessel Manager/ Superintendent reports directly to the Head of Vessel Operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned cruise ships, ensuring adherence to company
    policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including Technical, Marine, Hotel, and Commercial, to
    optimize vessel performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and assess the technical and operational performance of the vessels, identifying
    areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans, strategies, and budgets for vessel systems and
    equipment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in the maritime industry, with a focus on vessel management and technical
    operations.
  • Strong knowledge of ship systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to drive operational efficiency and
    effectiveness.
