Job Description
Responsible for the technical management of a fleet of Offshore Supply Vessels, including daily operations of maintenance, repair, budgeting, inspections, and dry-docking. Ensure vessels remain technically operational and compliant with management requirements.
Liaise with vendors and internal teams on technical readiness and performance. Conduct assessments for repairs, dry-docking, and class surveys, preparing budgets and reports for approval. Supervise dry-docking, repair works, and maintenance while compiling post-evaluation reports.
Source technical supplies, monitor vessel certification, and ensure completion of planned maintenance. Provide technical support, perform inspections, and supervise contractors. Implement QHSE policies and maintain zero-loss time accident records, reporting incidents and near-misses.
Requirements
- Experience as Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer on offshore vessels, with Class 1 or Class 2 COC, DP Maintenance, and High Voltage Certificates.
- Knowledge of classification rules and offshore requirements (e.g., Saudi Aramco).
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to train crews and travel on short notice.
