Reporting directly to the Deputy Fleet Manager, you will oversee the technical management of a fleet tanker or dry bulk vessels, ensuring peak operational performance and safety standards.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Fleet Manager, you will oversee the technical management of a fleet tanker or dry bulk vessels, ensuring peak operational performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vessel Maintenance: Maintain vessels to the highest standards in safety, environmental protection, and cost efficiency.
- Compliance and Certification: Implement the company’s Management System and ensure full compliance with international and local standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee the technical and operational conditions of assigned vessels, conducting inspections and preparing technical reports for owners.
- Budget Management: Control budgets, approve purchases and repair orders, and prepare for dry docks and major repairs.
- Onboard and Shore Coordination: Engage with vessel seniors to manage responsibilities, ensuring each vessel complies with its commercial contracts.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to achieve optimal results in vessel technical management.
- Travel: Frequent travel to vessels within Brazil as part of your responsibilities.
- Certification and Experience: Chief Engineer Class 1 or Class 2 Certificate of Competency or a relevant university qualification, with at least 2 years as a Junior Superintendent or similar experience with tankers and or bulk carriers.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems (such as AMOS), DOCMAP, ISM Code, purchasing, and budget control.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities for effective liaising with vessel seniors, charterers, and cross-functional teams.
