As a Technical Superintendent, you will play a key role in the technical department, overseeing the maintenance and repair of a fleet of up to 15 offshore support vessels. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance work, managing repairs, troubleshooting, and planning dry-dockings and refits. You will also manage relationships with key suppliers and ensure the technical integrity of the vessels.
Ideal Candidate:
- Sea-going background as a Marine Engineer, having sailed on small vessels such as Offshore Support Vessels, Tugs, Workboats, etc. OR
- Service Engineer/OEM background with strong experience working with marine machinery and exposure to offshore support vessels, shipyards, or ship repair.
- Excellent planning and project management skills.
- Ability to write specifications and understand and manage class requirements, defect management, and project management.
- Experience with Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
- Marine Engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, navigation equipment, and engine repairs (knowledge of MTU or Volvo engines is desirable).
- Valid UK driving license.
