What You’ll Be Doing:
- Coordinating and overseeing flag State and port State inspections, including follow-up actions on deficiencies and non-conformities.
- Managing appointments and communications with nautical inspectors, ship owners, managers, and recognised organisations.
- Supporting vessel registration reviews, technical documentation, and internal policy development.
- Participating in International Maritime Organization (IMO) meetings and working groups.
- Drafting technical bulletins and maintaining vessel data on internal systems.
- Contributing to general technical office duties and supporting continuous quality improvements.
Qualifications:
- Previously sailed as an Engineer or Deck Officer.
- Have a background in the shipping / maritime industry.
- Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of IMO Conventions and Codes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
- Strong communication skills—written and verbal.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems is an advantage.
- You must have the right to live and work in the UK.
- Candidates must reside within commuting distance to London and be available to attend the office at least once a week or as required.
