Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible overseeing the operational support for the technical aspects of the yacht fleet.
Duties will include:
- Acting as the primary contact point for the vessel, linking Crew, Operations team, and suppliers.
- Managing technical aspects for a fleet of vessels (private and commercial) as a Technical Superintendent.
- Planned maintenance oversight.
- Spare parts, inventory, and procurement management.
- Budget supervision.
- Supplier selection, negotiation, and coordination.
- Managing Class & Flag technical requirements.
- Coordinating regular dry docks.
- Optimizing technical operation costs.
- Enhancing systems, processes, contractors, and innovation.
- Participation in Emergency Response Team as needed.
- Supervising New Build Project Management.
- Providing technical consultancy.
- Assisting with other tasks as needed.
- Sea-faring experience, ideally as Chief Engineer (Yachts, Cruise or Commercial Vessels).
- Chief Engineer Unlimited CoC is desirable.
- Some land-based experience within a maritime role.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to handle stress in multicultural environments.
- Understanding of ISM/ISPS, SOLAS, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial reporting for technical matters.
- Fluent in English, other languages a bonus.
- Self-disciplined and client-focused.
Candidates must possess the existing right to live and work in the EU. No sponsorship will be offered as part of this position.
All applicants must be willing to commute to Hamburg daily. South of France candidates could also be considered.
