Location: Essex
Salary: Base salary + £5k car allowance + fuel expenses + overtime package
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9–5 + on-call rotation (evenings, weekends, bank holidays)
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating vessel arrivals and departures, ensuring smooth operations
- Liaising with ship captains, port authorities, and clients
- Managing documentation, including customs declarations and bills of lading
- Ensuring compliance with port regulations and international shipping laws
- Rotating on-call duties every three weeks (some nights and weekends)
- Driving to different ports (car allowance and fuel expenses provided)
- Problem-solving and handling unforeseen challenges in real-time
- Maintaining accurate records of vessel movements and cargo handling
- Must have a full driving license
- Willingness to work outside standard hours (weekends, nights, bank holidays)
- A proactive, confident, and adaptable attitude
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Full training provided – no experience required
