Job Description

Faststream is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Officer for our client's operations in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for ensuring compliance with the company's Integrated Management System (SLIMS), adhering to HSE standards and related legislation, and fostering a strong HSE culture across all contracts and levels. Reporting to the Contract Manager, the HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and continuously improving SLIMS at the contract level. The role includes conducting internal SLIMS audits, assisting in corrective or preventative actions, and delivering HSE training onboard vessels.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure SLIMS implementation, conduct internal audits based on ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001/14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards, and assist in executing corrective actions. You will also provide SLIMS familiarization and shore training, monitor crew training programs, deliver HSE-related training onboard vessels through regular weekly visits, and promote safe practices. Additionally, you will communicate HSE matters via safety meetings and ensure emergency preparedness by conducting shipboard drills and debriefings.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience with a towage or offshore services provider and holds a valid STCW Certificate of Competency as a Deck Officer, ideally minimum II/2 as a Chief Officer. Experience with ISO 9001/14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, strong analytical and numerical skills, and fluency in English (both spoken and written) are required. Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
