The role involves offshore work (approximately 120 days per year) and requires regular collaboration with Offshore Installation Managers and other key stakeholders. This is a remote-based role, with the expectation of one day per month in-office for team meetings and project updates.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end cable lay and installation projects, from initial planning stages through offshore execution, ensuring the highest standards of engineering quality, safety, and project performance.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed risk assessments, schedules, and cost estimations.
- Act as the main engineering liaison with Offshore Installation Managers, ensuring effective communication and coordination across all project phases.
- Provide expert technical guidance on cable lay activities, including cable route planning, protection methods, and installation techniques.
- Ensure that all operations adhere to industry standards, client specifications, and safety requirements.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including engineering procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and detailed project reports.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in cable-lay and offshore installation.
- Understanding of how vessels work.
- Must have right to work in the UK.
