Job Summary: The Senior Manager, Marine Personnel will manage a team of crewing coordinators and be responsible for overseeing the recruitment and management of crew members for the fleet. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of maritime regulations and crewing practices for US Flag vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Recruitment and Placement: Manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting qualified crew members.
- Crew Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of crew members, ensuring compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to ensure crew members are adequately trained and certified.
- Compliance: Ensure all crew members meet regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date certifications.
- Budget Management: Manage the crewing budget, including payroll, travel expenses, and training costs.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to crew members.
- Crisis Management: Handle any crew-related emergencies or issues that arise, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, safety, and human resources, to ensure seamless crewing operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not essential.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in maritime management within the maritime industry. This may include sea time as a senior officer.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of US maritime regulations.
- Certifications: Relevant experience of maritime certifications and training.
