Join our team as a Senior Installation Engineer, where you’ll work on cutting-edge projects supporting UK government sectors, including the maritime industry.

About the Role As a Senior Installation Engineer, you will oversee installation projects, ensuring the highest engineering standards while fostering strong customer relationships. Acting as a key liaison between our clients, shipyard authorities, and internal teams, you’ll drive projects to success with efficiency and professionalism. This role requires flexibility and a readiness to respond to evolving customer needs, including working at various UK and international sites.

Your Responsibilities
  • Support the Installation Manager with project and task management.
  • Attend surveys and client meetings to define technical and programme requirements.
  • Supervise engineering teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with MoD and maritime standards.
  • Deliver basic training courses to end users, imparting system knowledge.
  • Plan and execute installations effectively within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain ISO9001 standards and uphold company operating procedures.
  • Perform site work, including installations, terminations, and testing of RF, fibre optics, and data cables.
What We’re Looking For
  • Engineering Expertise: Experience with system-level engineering challenges on maritime vessels.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to supervise and manage engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with MoD engineering standards, ship safety procedures, and dockyard protocols.
  • Qualifications: Background in RF, fibre optics, and data cables with a hands-on approach to installations.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces.
  • Tools: Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project applications.
  • Credentials: Full UK driving licence and eligibility to obtain high-level security clearance.
