Position Overview:
We are seeking a Shorebased Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor to support our maritime operations for windfarm projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSEQ management, with specific experience related to maritime vessels and windfarm operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing best practices, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ management systems and procedures tailored to maritime windfarm operations.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide HSEQ guidance and support to project teams, vessel crews, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of safety, environmental awareness, and quality excellence.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and develop corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance trends, and collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve HSEQ performance.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and clients on HSEQ matters, ensuring effective communication and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging HSEQ trends, regulations, and technologies, and recommend relevant training and initiatives to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Proven experience in HSEQ management within the maritime industry, preferably in windfarm operations or offshore renewables.
- Strong knowledge of relevant HSEQ regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., IMO conventions, ISM Code, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead incident investigations, risk assessments, and HSEQ improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with maritime operations, vessel safety management systems (SMS), and dynamic risk assessment methodologies.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and offshore locations, as required.
