Faststream is recruiting for a Senior Chartering Specialist for a well-known international ship-owning/operating company.
You will be joining a tight-knit team in the London office, where you’ll leverage your industry connections to charter vessels and manage the entire vessel lifecycle from pre-fixture to post-fixture. Here, you’ll have the autonomy to negotiate and manage your desk like it’s your own business, benefiting both yourself and the company.
Role Overview
- Charter vessels and manage the vessel lifecycle from pre-fixture to post-fixture.
- Negotiate and manage your desk autonomously.
- Liaise with suppliers, conduct market screenings, and issue market inquiries.
- Conduct commercial assessments and present bid summaries.
- Support technical evaluations and manage contract negotiations.
- Handle post-award activities and communicate contractual obligations.
- Maintain supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Proven experience with BIMCO charter parties, especially Supply Time, Heavycon, Bargehire, and GENCON.
- Strong contracting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a time-sensitive environment.
- Degree in Maritime Business or Maritime Law.
