Faststream are working with a major subsea energy business to add a Senior Cable Testing Lead to their team in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing internal documentation for Electrical Engineering Procedures and Scope of Works under Cable Installation Delivery.
- Incorporating CID input into standards for Cable Testing activities alongside the Electrical Engineering team.
- Overseeing the LL process from Cable Testing Operations and integrating feedback to enhance cable installation procedures.
- Organising and participating in training sessions for supervisors and subcontractors.
- Coordinating with Projects regarding test equipment needs and managing testing equipment through both internal and third-party resources.
- Engaging in T&T design and scope reviews from projects and addressing technical queries related to CID operations.
- Providing on-site training and support for offshore teams to facilitate site testing.
- Assisting in the analysis of PD test results and completing PD assessment reports for test report finalisation.
- Electrical Engineer or Electrical Competent/Skilled.
- Experienced with medium and high voltage in the oil and gas/renewables industry.
- In-depth expertise in conducting Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for inter-array grids, including high-voltage cables and fiber optics, specifically for 33kV and 66kV offshore wind farms.
- Experienced in working offshore and happy to go on occassional offshore trips.
