We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to join the team in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our services related to marine diesel engines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with sales acumen while serving as a key liaison between our company and our valued clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate relationships with ship owners and ship managers to promote our ship repair and maintenance service offerings related to diesel engines
- Serve as a subject matter expert on marine diesel engines, providing technical guidance and support to clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet the unique needs of clients
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to prospective clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of our services
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and tactics
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience working in engine rooms aboard vessels, with a strong understanding of marine diesel engines
- Previous experience in a sales or technical sales role, preferably within the maritime industry
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details clearly and effectively to clients
- Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and site visits
