Job Responsibilities
- Main priority is to grow sales within the South East Asia and Asia Pacific region as per the company’s targets.
- Define regional growth strategies with the senior management to capture the business opportunities.
- Frequently engage with potential and existing customers from Commercial Shipping, the Oil & Gas industry and the Maritime Industry
- Continue to grow knowledge on Port Maritime Operations, Shipyards, Commercial shipping.
- To obtain a thorough knowledge of the market we operate in, competitive intelligence, etc.
- To build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- To follow up on all enquiries provided by cold calling, telephone, website or exhibitions.
- To establish and develop the Reseller network within the sales region.
- To investigate and if required to assist in gaining approval from the ports, free zones & membership
- groups within the region to maximize our presence.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and collaborate with the broader sales team.
- Weekly reporting on sales activities to the Sales Director.
Qualifications and Experience
- Min 5 years experience in the Maritime Industry
- Understanding the Maritime Industry, Port Maritime Operations, Shipyard operations, etc.
- Preferable knowledge of working systems aboard vessels such as tankers, bulk carriers, container vessels, ferries, yachts, tugboats, etc.
- Min. Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business Management
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Proven ability and track record to drive the sales process from plan to close – sales and customer focused approach
- Experience with Microsoft Office Package.
- Excellent in English (spoken and written).
- Excellent customer relationship building skills and Presentation skill
Other Expectations:
- Must have a thorough understanding of the sales process from finding new leads, negotiations, sales pipeline to closing sales
- Must be organised and structured with a clear methodology on winning sales
- Must have a hunter mentality but also understand key account management
- Ability to travel one to maximum two weeks per month
