Role Overview:

As the Regional Sales Director targeting the defence sector, you will be at the forefront of driving the company’s expansion into this strategic market. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy, identifying and building relationships with key stakeholders, and positioning the company's AI-driven solutions as essential tools in the defence industry. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in business development and a strong understanding of the defence market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development: Create and implement a robust sales and market-entry strategy for the defence industry, aligning with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify and engage new business opportunities within the defence sector, focusing on building long-term relationships with decision-makers.
  • Solution Selling: Present the company’s AI-driven technologies and their applications in defence operations, demonstrating their value to potential clients.
  • Networking: Leverage your existing network and cultivate new relationships with key stakeholders, including defence contractors, government bodies, and integrators.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market research to understand client needs, industry trends, and competitor activity, using this knowledge to refine strategies.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the complete sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development and marketing, to align solutions with market demands and client feedback.
  • Travel: Attend industry events, client meetings, and conferences to promote the company’s offerings and expand its footprint in the defence market.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales or business development within the defence and maritime industry or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of AI, digital technologies, or advanced software solutions and their applications in defence operations
  • A well-established network within the defence sector, including contacts with defence contractors, government agencies, or integrators
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical solutions effectively to non-technical audiences
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Europe and beyond
  • Fluent in English; additional languages relevant to the region are a plus
