This is a fantastic opportunity for a number-savvy individual, to help shape the future data landscape for a maritime organisation in the midst of transformation. 

The role of Performance Management Analyst will offer a diverse and varied role as an ambassador for data and the reporting suite across all levels of the business.

Reporting To: 
Performance Management Lead.

Location: Based in Kent.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engagement with any element of the business to understand the underlying business drivers, performance metrics and reporting requirements.
  • Development and unequivocal definition of KPIs with the business teams.
  • Identification and verification of the best and only source of data for each KPI.
  • Design and develop relevant and impactful performance KPIs for the business.
  • Work with the BI team in IT to deploy incisive reporting and ad hoc decision support.
  • Be an ambassador for data and the reporting suite when engaging with different areas of the business and at all levels.
  • Cooperation with the BI team to deploy the KPI – preferably on the Power BI reporting tool.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree level qualification - desirable but will consider qualified by experience. 
  • 3 years’ experience in a data management or reporting role.
  • Highly systems literate with the ability to adopt a new system quickly and effectively.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Highly numerate with strong Excel skills.
  • Good communication skills, able to listen to or explain complex issues to any audience.
  • A passion for using data and new tools to improve our work. 
Desirable but not essential
  • Experience using a data visualisation tool such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView.
  • Basic understanding of SQL or another coding language.
  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate or other automation tools, or incorporating AI into workflows.
