We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client in the maritime industry, seeking an experienced Onboard Finance Manager to join their team. About the Role: The Onboard Finance Manager will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the fleet. This position involves leading a team of onboard finance crew members, ensuring compliance with financial procedures, and overseeing various financial activities. The ideal candidate will bring resilience and a hands-on approach to this exciting start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support the onboard finance teams, ensuring they meet their goals and adhere to company procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively suggest and implement improvements to onboard finance procedures.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with port and customs compliance matters, ensuring smooth passenger embarkation and disembarkation.
  • Financial Oversight: Ensure timely and accurate information flow to the Revenue Accounting department, review and approve cashbooks, and oversee cash counts and fundings.
  • Tax Management: Oversee VAT and GST settings for qualifying cruises in coordination with concessionaires and HQ Finance.
  • Payroll Management: Prepare onboard payroll for approval, liaise with Ship Managers, and ensure compliance with GDPR and corporate procedures.
  • Audit Support: Assist auditors with queries related to your responsibilities.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects with concessionaires and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in a similar onboard finance position or as an Onboard Finance Officer.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MXP, Adonis, or similar onboard applications; expertise in OTALIO (preferred) or FIDELIO; onboard payroll; MS Office. Fluency in English is required, with French and Italian as pluses. Knowledge of SOLAS and maritime regulations is essential.
