About the Company: Our client is a leading marine design consultancy specialising in the design, technical support, and decarbonisation of specialist vessels and high-speed craft. Their expertise encompasses a wide range of vessels, including high-speed RIBs, rigid boats, workboats, small ferries, and unconventional crafts such as amphibious and unmanned vessels.

Job Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Naval Architect to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and developing advanced marine vessels, ensuring they meet rigorous safety, performance, and environmental standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in the marine industry, including the integration of sustainable technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop detailed plans for various marine vessels, focusing on high-speed craft and specialist vessels, utilising advanced CAD software and engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, structural, and design engineers, to ensure seamless integration of all vessel systems and components.
  • Conduct stability analyses, structural assessments, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Engage with clients, vessel operators, builders, and maintainers to understand their specific operational needs and deliver tailored design solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design and analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of marine engineering principles, vessel structures, stability, and hydrodynamics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
