Job Description

We are working with an independent offshore engineering consultancy specializing in the design and construction of offshore structures, subsea installations, and floating systems. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in offshore design to join their dynamic team.

The Role:
  • Assist in the design, development, and analysis of mechanical systems for offshore installations, including platforms, subsea equipment, and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Perform calculations, simulations, and other analytical tasks to evaluate the performance and feasibility of mechanical systems.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for equipment and systems.
  • Participate in project reviews, testing, and commissioning activities.
The Person:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of offshore engineering standards and codes, including API, ASME, and DNV.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and simulation software, such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in offshore design preferred.
