Reporting to: Associate Head of Safety Training
Location: UAE

As a Maritime Safety Trainer you will support the Academy’s strategic goals, providing expert and professional training on a range of safety courses including Firefighting, Personal Survival Techniques, Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, Medical First Aid and Security Awareness. You will help to develop and deliver new training courses, in line with industry changes and requirements.  


Qualification, Skills and Experience

Essential:
  • STCW Class 2 Certificate of Competency (Deck or Engine).
  • Business level written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work within a team, across all cultures.
  • Ability to work under pressure with the intent to complete tasks promptly and efficiently. 
Desirable:
  • MSc or equivalent Master level qualification in relevant subject.
  • Health & Safety qualification.
  • Experience of maritime education and/or training..
  • Educational experience with leading courses/ programs, revising course content, developing new programs and courses.
