Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to the Marine Manager and support Masters and crews to maintain the highest operational standards.
- Implement and enhance the company’s Management System, contributing to policy and procedural development.
- Ensure vessels comply with international rules, regulations, and industry standards, and are inspection-ready at all times.
- Conduct regular marine visits, internal audits, and follow-up on issues promptly.
- Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, security, environmental awareness, and energy efficiency within the fleet.
- Support navigation practices, bridge procedures, and cargo operations to ensure high standards of safety, health, and environmental protection.
- Assist with third-party inspections, vetting processes, and terminal satisfaction reports, addressing complaints and observations proactively.
- Conduct training, incident investigations, and interviews for key positions (e.g., Master or Chief Officer).
- Collaborate on projects and tasks assigned by the Marine Manager to improve fleet performance and safety.
- Seagoing experience in a command position (e.g., Master or Chief Officer) for a minimum of two (2) years.
- Strong knowledge of international rules, regulations, and industry guidelines.
- Proven experience with wet fleets (e.g., tankers).
- Expertise in marine inspections, incident investigation, internal auditing, and risk management.
- Comprehensive operational knowledge of wet fleet vessel types.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Fluency in English & Mandarin mandatory to manage stakeholders (spoken and written).
