Are you passionate about maritime operations and eager to contribute to a cleaner energy future? We are seeking a highly motivated Marine Superintendent to join our client's team in Houston.

In this role, you will oversee day-to-day marine operations for LPG vessels in the US and Caribbean, including inspections, audits, incident investigations, and training, while building and maintaining strong relationships with authorities and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with authorities, partners, and customers in the region.
  • Support LPG vessels primarily in Houston and the US, as well as the Caribbean, working closely with global Marine, Technical, and Operations teams.
  • Assist with USCG inspections, SIRE/CDI inspections, and other external audits.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Superintendents and Operators regarding USCG defect reporting and concerns before US port calls.
  • Coordinate with local US-based agents, suppliers, and service companies to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Lead and support incident investigations for vessels in the US and Caribbean.
  • Participate in quality management and contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with SMS policies/procedures and US local/CFR requirements, coordinating with the HSEQ team.
  • Lead and participate in onboard training programs and conduct training sessions.
  • Perform internal ISM, Cargo, Mooring, and Navigational audits in port, at anchorage, and while sailing.
  • Lead or participate in safety campaigns and handle risk assessments.
  • Maintain standards in line with Qualship and E-Zero requirements.
  • Uphold all responsibilities in alignment with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, and industry requirements.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sailing experience as a senior deck officer on LPG/LNG gas carriers.
  • Strong command of English, both oral and written.
  • Permit to work in the US.
