Our client manages a diverse fleet of offshore vessels, supporting a wide range of marine and energy operations. Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Superintendent to join the team in Hamburg.
As a Marine Superintendent, you will play a critical role in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of a fleet of offshore vessels. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, manage vessel performance, and provide expert guidance to crews. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced maritime professional with a background as a Master on offshore vessels and at least one year of shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all maritime regulations and company policies.
- Provide operational support and guidance to vessel Masters and crew.
- Conduct regular inspections of vessels to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
- Coordinate and oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and best practices.
- Manage incident investigations and implement corrective actions as required.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the planning and execution of vessel operations, including mobilization and demobilization.
- Review and approve vessel documentation, including reports, logs, and certifications.
- Provide training and development support to crew members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have the right to work in Europe.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Master on offshore vessels.
- At least 1 year of shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of maritime regulations and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using marine management software and other relevant tools.
- Ability to travel as required for vessel inspections and meetings.
