As a Marine Superintendent, you will be the critical link between the vessel and shore-based management. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day vessel management, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations, and implementing best practices in safety and environmental protection. You will conduct regular vessel inspections, manage maintenance schedules, and coordinate dry-docking and repair work, ensuring that all activities meet the highest standards and are completed within budget.
A key aspect of this role involves supporting and mentoring the crew, providing expert guidance on safety procedures, operational protocols, and emergency response measures. Your ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses will be crucial in enhancing the overall safety and performance of the fleet.
This position requires frequent travel to various ports and time spent onboard vessels, where you will engage directly with the crew, offering hands-on support and training. Your expertise in tanker operations, including knowledge of MARPOL, SOLAS, and other relevant regulations, will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
