Key Responsibilities:
- Client Focus: Manage client inquiries and expectations across all personnel functions, delivering industry-leading service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to audit requirements, including ISM, STCW, MLC, ISO, SOC, and TMSA, and communicate regulatory or policy changes to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve processes and technology, leveraging best practices across teams in Glasgow and Mumbai.
- Technology Optimization: Enhance efficiency by driving improvements with COMPAS, particularly scheduling and crewing capabilities.
- Cost Coordination: Manage scheduling cost requirements in alignment with Fleet Manager directives.
- Workforce Planning: Support onshore manpower analysis and assist with wider workforce planning objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, appraise, and develop a Glasgow-based team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Seafarer Management: Oversee end-to-end seafarer journey management, including disciplinary matters and certification compliance.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Manage STCW certification requirements, ensuring compliance and knowledge-sharing within the manning team.
- Networking and Representation: Represent the company at industry events, building and maintaining professional networks locally and internationally.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake occasional travel to client and group company offices and contribute to projects and tasks as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in crewing and personnel management.
- Extensive knowledge of the maritime industry and regulatory frameworks, including MLC, ISM, and STCW.
- Proven experience in stakeholder and client management, with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrable ability to deliver against KPIs/SLAs, emphasizing client engagement and service excellence.
- A track record of team development, fostering a culture aligned with company values and objectives.
- Skilled at managing complex, challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
