The Role
Sitting at the intersection of maritime operations and data analytics, your role will focus on process standardisation, performance visibility, and digital transformation to support decision-making and reduce delays across the supply chain.
You will:
- Map and analyse the full logistics flow: from terminal discharge to barge loading, offshore transfer, and ocean vessel loading
- Highlight inefficiencies and delays through simulations and process mapping
- Define and report KPIs across marine supply chain operations
- Build dashboards and deliver insights using Power BI or Tableau
- Standardise SOPs and support operational alignment via training and documentation
- Apply AI and machine learning to optimise dispatching, scheduling, and cargo transfer
- Collaborate across functions – from vessel crews to terminal operators and senior leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in bulk marine logistics, barge operations, or terminal systems
- Seagoing background is a strong advantage
- Degree-qualified in Marine Operations, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
- Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement frameworks
- Strong proficiency in data visualisation and analytics (Power BI, Tableau)
- Exposure to AI/ML tools such as Python or Azure ML is highly desirable
- Solid grasp of vessel operations, tug/barge handling, and floating terminal activities
- A proactive mindset with the ability to convert data into action
- Existing right to live and work in Italy
