Your Role & Responsibilities:
Driving Marine Business Growth in Indonesia:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy tailored to the Indonesian maritime sector, with a focus on increasing market share, securing key projects, and growing revenue.
- Identify and capitalize on business opportunities with local shipowners, port operators, offshore energy companies, and regulatory authorities.
- Lead market access initiatives, ensuring the company is well-positioned to support Indonesia’s shipbuilding, marine logistics, and offshore industries.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key industry players, including the Directorate General of Sea Transportation (DGST), Pertamina, Pelindo, INSA, shipyards, classification societies (BKI), and offshore contractors.
- Actively participate in local maritime industry events, business forums, and regulatory discussions to strengthen market presence.
- Stay updated on Indonesia’s maritime regulations, market trends, and government projects, providing strategic insights to guide business decisions.
- Identify, approach, and convert potential clients in Indonesia’s shipping, oil & gas, shipbuilding, and logistics sectors.
- Customize solutions to meet Indonesia’s specific regulatory and operational needs, ensuring competitive and compliant offerings.
- Drive contract negotiations and business deals, ensuring long-term partnerships and revenue growth.
- Manage and expand key client accounts by delivering tailored solutions that align with customer needs and long-term business objectives.
- Strengthen client relationships by offering value-added services, cross-selling opportunities, and proactive customer engagement.
- Ensure client satisfaction by coordinating closely with operational teams to deliver high-quality marine solutions.
- Collaborate with local teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts, quotations, pricing, and service delivery.
- Align sales and business development efforts with Indonesian maritime market trends, ensuring sustainable growth.
- Work closely with regional and global teams to integrate Indonesia’s business strategy into broader company goals.
- Represent the company at Indonesian maritime conferences, trade expos, and networking events, strengthening industry credibility.
- Conduct seminars and presentations to showcase expertise in maritime safety, logistics, and offshore services.
- Degree in Engineering (Marine, Offshore, or related fields) with at least 8 years of experience in Indonesia’s maritime industry, including 5 years in commercial, sales, or managerial roles.
- Established network within Indonesia’s maritime sector, including connections with shipowners, oil & gas companies, shipyards, Pertamina, Pelindo, DGST, and classification societies (BKI)
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets, securing contracts, and driving market growth in the marine industry.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (additional languages are a plus for engaging with international stakeholders).
- Independent, highly driven, and results-oriented, with a deep understanding of Indonesia’s business culture and regulatory framework.
- Experience working with government agencies, offshore service providers, marine logistics companies, or shipyards is an advantage.
